Extended Family ----- From: Yebo - Date: 03 Nov 1997

With Christmas coming up I find myself already becoming tense and panicky. I have a situation whre the family (parents and in-laws) decend on us for a few weeks. My wife seems to get so caught up in her side of the family that I find myself being excluded and becoming a mere observer. It was so bad last year that I ended up spending the whole of Christmas day in tears. Does anybody have any comments or suggestions as to how I can manage this situation better. I would love Christmas to once again be a time of joy that I can spend with my family without the "takeover" of the extended members of the family.
