I wouldn't agree with you Monstergirl.
To say that we are NOT responsible for EVERY aspect of our lives is to live in the stance of victimhood. Empowerment comes from taking responsibility for everything one has attracted into their lives and making choices for the greatest and highest good for ourselves. There are no victims. Each soul has its own agenda. People may not be "conscious" of certain things about their partners until much later but on on "unconscious" level - the soul knows exactly what it is up to - it has been created by you on some level. We are CONSTANTLY creating with our awareness or not. I choose to be aware. I choose to co-create with Spirit on a conscious level.
Also, there is your basic universal law of karma - or better known as Cause and Effect. What goes out, returns. It is a belief that there is only Oneness - we are all One with this Power - all connected - I am you and you are me. How I treat you, I treat me, etc. etc. etc. And sometimes a thought that has gone out - or something that has gone out - takes a long time to come back (maybe even from another life)
All I am saying is that we are co-creators whether you are conscious of this or not. As we believe, so it is. If I believe that life sucks, then I am going to attract situations into my life that affirms my beliefs. Our experiences do NOT cause our thoughts - but our THOUGHTS cause our experiences.
That is why: what you choose to focus on, stays with you. If I focus on the problem, I stay in the problem. If I affirm the solution is here, the solution Miraculously appears.
I am sorry Monstergirl, but I do NOT believe that anyone is a victim of anything. And to be honest, it is empowering, not powerless. I don't believe in coincidences, or luck or that we are puppets on a string. I believe we are co-creators WITH God for we are One with God and God gives us what we ask for. We may not be aware of what we are asking for, but we get it!
It is unfortunate that most people on the planet think they are victims of something or other. The path I choose is incredibly empowering! For when I change ME, I can change anything! My outer reality is a reflection of my inner reality. It is freedom!
Peace, kim
