Re: Is it better to have loved and lost than never loved at all ----- From: Diane - Date: 19 Dec 1997
Hi NiceGuy-
And I don't doubt for a minute your a Nice Guy... you wouldn't be hurting so much from the human experience if you weren't.
The loss of a relationship and rejection from a lover is one of the most devastating things a person can endure. Being in love has very, primal deep roots, right back to the comfort of the womb. To be rejected is just that, being violently pushed back out into the noise, glaring bright lights, the cold. To get through this is going to be a true testament to your strength of spirit, your perserverence.
You asked if perhaps soul mates are a myth? I think the myth lies in that there is only one for each of us. And considering all the love around, I think that is statistically impossible!
Don't give up hope on the joy of a relationship. Don't be hardened by something that could be as simple as bad timing.
things WILL get better - Diane
